With funds in hand and a strong team on and off the paper, Real Madrid is expected to enter the upcoming summer transfer window in full flow. Carlo Ancelloti, Madrid’s manager is trying to strengthen his defense and looking for more attacking options.
The Los Blancos were quiet during the winter transfer window which is about to conclude in a few days. The main reason behind this is that the Real Madrid squad is all set at the moment with great players and Ancelloti doesn’t want to interfere with the team chemistry.
Real Madrid is currently leading the La Liga by four points and already have won the Spanish Super Copa.
For the 2022-23 season, Ancelloti has made a list of three players who are his “priority” signings. This includes the french star, Kylian Mbappe, Sociedad’s star striker, Alexander Isak, and UCL winner, Antonio Rudiger. Completion of these signings will further improve Real Madrid’s squad.
Kylian Mbappe
This is a “done deal” for Real Madrid, with PSG star already acknowledging the move in an interview. Kylian Mbappe has been rejecting PSG’s contract extension requests as he feels Real Madrid and the Spanish Liga would be the perfect “challenge” for him.
Mbappe’s clinical finishing and tremendous pace will help Madrid enhance their game even further. Ancelloti is really excited about this deal as he eyes a replacement for the “flop move” of Eden Hazard.
Antonio Rudiger
With the exits of club captain and main defender, Sergio Ramos, and star center back, Raphael Varane, Real Madrid has suffered a lot in terms of “Defense”. Madrid did manage to sign Bayern star, David Alaba but are struggling to find a proper “defensive pair”.
The German Center Back, Antonio Rudiger who runs out of contract in 2022 is Real Madrid’s main target. Rudiger has been a defensive beast which helped Chelsea win the Champions League. He’s good on the ball and also manages to hold possession.
All these qualities really impressed Ancelloti thus making Rudiger a must-buy.
Alexander Isak
Isak has been a key player for both Real Sociedad and the Swedish National team. With averaging 2.1 shots, 0.4 important passes, and 1.4 dribbles per game, Isak is playing like a beast.
With his quality and shot precision, Isak will prove valuable for the Madrid squad who are still looking for Benzema’s long-term replacement. Madrid had previously signed strikers Luka Jovic and Mariano Diaz for hefty transfer fees which proved out to be flops.
Ancelloti is trying his very best to further improve the squad and these signings just might help the Los Blancos to reach their “UCL” glory days again.
