An official announcement on the Real Madrid website has at last confirmed the transfer of Toni Kroos to Los Blancos. Kroos will put pen to paper to a six-year deal which will see him earn €6 million a year after taxes. The transfer fee has not yet been officially confirmed by either club. MARCA is reporting the transfer fee is between €20-25 million while AS and Bild are claiming it is €30 million.
Kroos joins the European Champions after an incredible World Cup where he scored two goals, assisted four, and recovered 20 balls while maintaining a pass rate of 84.8%. He was quite possibly Germany’s player of the tournament, and will look to keep that form going when Real Madrid kick off their season against Sevilla in the UEFA Super Cup on August 12th.
The official announcement on the Real Madrid website also confirmed that Kroos will take a medical in the coming hours. He will then be presented at 17:00 CET in the Royal Box at the Bernabeu. After his presentation, Toni Kroos will enter the Bernabeu pitch for the first time in a Real Madrid kit followed by a press conference.
