Manchester United Will Offer Arturo Vidal £250000-a-Week to Quit Juventus

Juventus’ most sought-after midfielder Arturo Vidal has recently been linked with a whole host of big European sides. The Chilean’s latest admirers are thought to be Manchester United, who are ready to tempt his services with a bumper £250,000 a week pay-packet from other interested parties Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Liverpool and Arsenal.

Vidal, who is now set to go on a holiday before returning to Italy for the start of the season Serie A season, enjoyed an impressive World Cup with Chile, who were a stand out team in the tournament. His side reached the last 16 before crashing out in a dramatic penalty shoot-out to host nation Brazil on Saturday.

The former Bayern Leverkusen man’s future will now be the main topic of debate, with speculation rife that he will leave Serie A champions Juventus for a new venture. He is arguably one of the most complete midfielders in world football; his box-to-box approach contributed to Juve’s three consecutive titles in three years.

Arsenal boss Arsène Wenger also confirmed his interest in Vidal. The Gunners will be in European contention this season after finishing fourth in the league last term, which would interest the Chilean. However, Wenger admitted that his transfer war chest could be used on more productive signings in other areas of the squad, which could pave the way for Manchester United to take full advantage.

Vidal’s preferences on a move away from Turin would most definitely include Champions League football, which could prove a problem for United. However, a huge wage packet and impressive signings in the mold of Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw spells big things at Old Trafford under the leadership of incoming manager Louis Van Gaal, who looks certain to bring trophies back to the Theatre of Dreams.
