Juventus are planning to lure Romelu Lukaku to Turin this summer, while the Old Lady are also targeting a move for AC Milan defender Mattia De Sciglio, according to the latest rumours in Italy.
Per Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, defending Serie A champions Juventus are eager to sign in-form Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku, who has already netted 25 goals in all competitions for Everton this season. According to Squawka, this is the most by any Everton player in a season since Gary Lineker, who scored 40 goals in 1986.
However, this also means that Lukaku will not come cheap, as it has been reported that Juventus will have to go all out to land the talented striker. The Mirror’s David Maddock understands that clubs “will have to pay more than £50million to get Romelu Lukaku this summer, while Everton will fight to keep him even if they receive offers of that size.”
Nevertheless, Massimiliano Allegri is looking to bolster his attacking options during the summer, because he is more than aware of the fact that Alvaro Morata could be returning to Real Madrid at the end of this season. Therefore, the Italian manager would be wise to add someone like Lukaku to his squad.
The 22-year-old Belgian international’s services would fit Allegri’s preferred 3-5-2 formation. The striker’s combination of power, pace, and positional awareness enables him to create space for his compatriots, while his pace also allows him to play as the partner of, for example, Argentine youngster Paulo Dybala. On the other hand, Lukaku could also be used when playing in a 4-3-1-2 formation, featuring as a target man, eager to receive crosses from to wing. This allows Allegri to be more flexible in terms of switching between different systems during a game.
Even if Juventus need to look twice at every penny to sign the Belgian, it could be more than worth it given Lukaku’s young age and the way in which he has already developed himself as a footballer over the past two years. Moreover, Lukaku has hinted that he would like to move this summer to pursue his dream of playing in the Champions League, which is something that Juventus can offer.

Elsewhere, the calciomercatio.com website believes that AC Milan defender Mattia De Sciglio is willing to reunite with Allegri as Juventus are looking to upgrade their right-back slot, since the 32-year-old Stefan Lichtsteiner is the only gifted right-back available in the current squad.
Embodying all the necessary attributes required of a modern full-back, De Sciglio gallops up and down the touchline to scare the living daylights out of the opposition. His versatility allows him to be positioned on both wings, which makes it far easier for Allegri to implement a possible 4-3-1-2 formation, although his offensive contribution does not yet match his defensive contribution.
Despite the fact that De Sciglio has been a fairly well known talent for years, the Italian international has failed to take the next step in his progression in the last two seasons, mainly due to injuries. Moreover, De Sciglio does not feature as much as he is used to under AC Milan boss Sinisa Mihajlovic.
On the contrary, De Sciglio has always been a firm favourite of Allegri, who allowed him to make his debut in a Champions League tie against Viktoria Plzen back in the 2011-2012 campaign. So, this relationship could certainly lure the talented defender to Turin. In addition, Juventus are known for conducting their business early, so if De Sciglio’s situation at Milan does not change soon, a move could be well on the cards.
